I don’t know if you’ve ever tried making mayonnaise. I have. It’s hard. But I suppose that if you get it right, it’s worth it.
Here is a video on how to make mayonnaise:
Learning a foreign language is almost the same. It’s easy when you know how, but if you don’t know how, it can be a nightmare, and, despite numerous years of schooling, it can never happen.
So, what’s important for making mayonnaise:
– the right conditions
– the right equipment
– the right technique
– the right recipe
It’s basicallly the same for languages.
In the video, they mentioned one word “emulsify”. “Emulsyfying” is important for making mayonnaise; in language learning,it’s different. The word is “assimilating” or, “acquiring” (acquisition). These two words are very similar in meaning.
So, that’s what I aim to do in my job every day: create the right conditions for acquisition, use the right equiipment (resources), a good technique and a good recipe for teaching English.
And the best bit of my job… when the mayonnaise blends together. Success!
